Last updated: June 2026
Information we collect
We collect only the minimum information needed to provide wallet services:
- Email address - used for account creation and alert notifications
- Encrypted wallet data - your wallet settings and preferences, stored in encrypted form
- Usage data - anonymous session metrics to improve performance and reliability
We never collect KYC documentation, identity verification materials, or your Bitcoin private keys.
How we use your information
- To operate and maintain your wallet account
- To send you transaction alerts you have opted into
- To improve platform performance and user experience
- To comply with applicable legal obligations
Data storage and security
Your wallet data is encrypted before transmission using 256-bit AES encryption. We store no readable private keys on our servers. Our databases are secured with industry-standard access controls and encryption at rest.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except:
- When required by law or valid legal process
- With service providers who help operate our infrastructure (subject to confidentiality agreements)
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Since Apex is non-custodial, your wallet data is inherently portable - you can export your recovery phrase and move to any compatible wallet.
